We found this video by customer Gene Cooper of Cooperfish Surfboards working his but off to chamber some thick redwood stringers. People take it for granted how much work goes into surfboard building but after watching this video you see that these guys can go crazy. Most are trying to set themselves apart from other shapers while creating unique and functional surfcrafts. Be sure to pay close attention to all the different jigs and tools Gene uses when hollowing out this stringer. It is a precise art that these craftsmen engage in and they do it with pride.
Gene is know for his amazing craftsmanship, unique boards, and incredible color jobs. For more info on Cooperfish surfboards check out their site http://www.cooperfishsurfboards.com/.
